“SEACM helped us to understand what was needed to allow me to legally and permanently stay in the USA. They helped us get legally married and put us in touch with an immigration attorney in Sacramento who has been very helpful. It has been a long process, over three years now.”

- Kenneth, canada

“It is very difficult for me to learn enough English to pass the Citizenship test. I never was allowed to go to school in my native country. My father said we should work. I came to the USA with a green card. I work long days and take care of my family. There is little opportunity for me to learn and practice my English. I am so grateful though that I can renew my green card every 10 years.”

- socorro, MEXICO

Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals is an American immigration policy that allows certain undocumented people who entered the country before their 16th birthday and before June 2007 to receive a renewable two-year work permit and exemption from deportation.
